My dog ate something off the ground a few weeks ago and was diagnosed with gastroenteritis (basically just a very upset stomach and inflamed GI tract). She never had dietary or GI issues before so I knew she just needed to heal. I had her on medication and the diet from the vet and her stools were still not returning to normal and there was even blood in her stools. I then began the bland diet which helped stop the blood but her stools were still really soft. This product came out just in time and I ordered it and within the first day of giving it to my dog, her stools have returned to normal and I am getting her back on her kibble with no issue. However, if you are giving your dog a probiotic for overall gut health or for health goals other than stool health, you can give your dog both GutWell Power Poop and their current probiotic. Just be careful not to combine two GutWell products or a product very high in fiber with GutWell Power Poop to avoid tummy troubles.
